Hi, I'm Erik Esmaty.

I currently work at Acuity Analytics, where I support organizations in building data-driven solutions that actually work. My focus lies on the Microsoft Data Platform, both on-premises and in the Azure cloud. With over 20 years of experience across The Netherlands, Germany, and the United States, I've worked at the intersection of business needs and technical execution, from data ingestion and modeling to reporting, visualization, and analytics that drive real-world decisions.

I'm an active contributor to the international data community: I regularly speak at conferences and workshops across Europe, organize the annual Microsoft Data Platform conference at Microsoft Germany in Munich, and serve as the Monster Keeper of the Bavarian chapter of Datamonster e.V., a community of data professionals passionate about sharing knowledge and growing together.

In addition to my professional work in the data space, I also teach at the Munich Community College (MVHS), where I offer courses on general computer skills and WordPress. Helping people gain confidence with digital tools and empowering them to build their own websites is something I truly enjoy.
